Our Schools COO Comments on CA Attorney General’s Investigation into School Board for Civil Rights Violations

Kristi Hirst, a Chino Valley district parent and founder of 188ÌåÓý, a nonprofit group that advocates for quality education, said she hopes Bonta’s announcement sends a message to other school districts that such policies are “not going to be accepted.â€�

The rules promote distrust of teachers and schools and it is not something on which the school board should be focusing, Hirst said Friday.

“We have state laws and anti-discrimination policies in place for a reason,� Hirst said. “We felt this policy went against that and therefore the state was needed to step in to protect these students.�
